The galleries of Imperial cities of Europe are awash with some of the world’s greatest works of art with superb collections by artists from Medieval times to the Old Masters through to 20th century modern art and contemporary works by each nation’s artists. Whether your interest is in paintings, portraits, sculptures, etchings, drawings, religious art, contemporary or baroque, you will find it on public display in Middle and Central Europe’s superb galleries, the buildings themselves a testament to architectural wonder.
Whenever you visit any palace in each of these Imperial Cities you will see a large range of masterpieces from all fields of the arts on display. They were once part of the private collections of the former owners.
But it is in the great national galleries and museums that you will experience many of the world’s superb and well known treasures of the art world.
Imperial Holidays offers a collection of Art Galleries Tours from which you can choose just one city or a combination that suits your own particular interests. Each tour includes a taste of the city’s must-see sights, a cultural program and visits to at least two galleries of your choice where you can spend a full day to absorb its masterpieces.
All tours will proceed provided there are at least two passengers and can be timed to commence on any day of the year.
